In my anguish, I often wonder.
Is it foolish to believe?
To believe in myself, when my past says otherwise.
When even my present leaves much to be desired.
Others say they do, do believe in me.
But is it a product of companionship?
Some misguided belief raised by courtesy,
Rather than actual substance.
Is belief in who I am…
